Hello, my name is Xiyue (Katherine) Hu. I majored in industrial design at Pratt Institute in New York for my bachelor's degree. Design justification

Our research statement is predictive emoji as a socio-technical system for computing human emotions. Therefore, including features of emoji is a major part of our website theme. We want the overall theme of the website to be playful and colorful, and that is why we chose bright and saturated colors in our color scheme. To make the visuals comfortable and neutral, we chose purple as the main color, which is the complementary color of the emoji orange color. The main fonts we use are: popping semi bold, open sans, and Futura, which are sans-serif fonts that aim to connect with both circular and smooth shapes of emoji faces. Since there are many texts and graphics on the pages already, we decided to put the menu bar on the right top to show the architecture and contents of our website clearly so the viewer can easily go through the website.
